Chorongi Coffee Factory receives and processes coffee cherries from smallholder farmers each with an average of 250 coffee trees.. The factory is part of the Mutheka Coffee Farmer’s Society, consisting of more than 5600 active farmer members, with around 1000 of them belonging to Chorongi. The factory currently receives assistance from Coffee Management Services (CMS) with the long term goal is to increase coffee production through farmer training and input access. '
