It also happens to be the fourth year in a row that its placed in Dormans annual top 10 coffees competition. Thats high praise!

Gathaithi Farmer's Co-Op's quality comes from a higher standard for the red coffee cherries delivered from approximately 1650 farmer members. After the red ripe cherries are delivered, they are hand sorted for underripe cherries before being depulped and put into a wet ferment for 16-24 hours. Next, the coffee is washed in a channel for another 12-16 hours. This process is often called double washed and is what give Kenyan coffee its clear, sparkling profile.
